The relationship between Cuba and the United States took another step towards normalizing diplomatic relations this week with the re-opening of Cuba’s embassy in Washington D.C. While Democrats support the Obama Administration’s mending of ties with Cuba and see it as a step forward for both countries, it continues to draw negative reactions from Cuban-American Republicans. Another point of contention is the Iran nuclear agreement, with the majority of Republicans seemingly steadfast in their opposition to the terms.
