Researchers believe tidal flooding in Miami and Key West will increase dramatically over the next fifteen years. This week’s annual “King Tide” was seen by many as a preview of this flooding. Taking advantage of this unusually high rise in sea level, students from Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay Campus were on hand to measure and study the flooding in the hopes the data collected will help coastal cities in the future.
