Voting is every American’s civic responsibility, and for most, it’s an uneventful affair. But what if you have a disability, have been a convicted felon, or are a naturalized citizen? These barriers may make voting seem difficult or even impossible. That’s why each week leading up to the November presidential election, we’ll follow the journeys of these individuals to the voting booth. The League of Women Voters’ (LWV) Maribel Balbin joins us to discuss these barriers, voter education, and how the LWV takes steps to assist these voters.
