The historic Ali Cultural Arts in Pompano Beach continues to celebrate black history long after February with a new art exhibition. Running now until March 29th, “Beans, Rice & Gumbo: Facts, Fictions and Frictions of Black History” showcases African American history from the past to modern day. Inspired by Nigerian artist Adewale Adenle’s personal experiences and observations of both his homeland and the U.S., he explains his thoughts through the medium of painting in order to get the public thinking as well.
